Gyrification is available as a signed, numbered edition of 100, printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm—an archival cotton paper favored by museum collections for its longevity and tonal fidelity. Open editions are also available on archival matte paper (230gsm) for collectors seeking the work at a more accessible entry point.
This work sits comfortably in contemporary art settings or museum study center. Each print ships flat, within 5–7 business days, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and care instructions. We offer a 14-day return window for works received in original condition.
Large, rounded compartments of color press against one another in an irregular grid, their edges defined by narrow ivory channels that read as seams or boundaries. Within each compartment, closely spaced concentric arcs and parallel lines curve, bend, and ripple, setting up an internal rhythm that contrasts with the smoother outer silhouettes. Deep blues and blacks accumulate toward several corners, counterbalanced by expanses of turquoise, orange, and yellow that pool toward the center and lower edge, creating a subtle circulation of weight and temperature across the composition. The layered, ring-like markings evoke a slow accretion of time, while the clustered lobes and furrowed surfaces quietly echo the folded, labyrinthine associations suggested by the title "Gyrification."
