About This Work

Against an off-white field, a series of tapering black verticals function as spines from which translucent ovoid chambers and bead-like nodes appear to swell and contract, creating a rhythmic progression from left to right. Dense, hairline filaments extend outward from these axes, overlapping and interlacing to produce a subtle, vibrating mesh that negotiates between figure and ground. The color intervals—deep cadmium red, cerulean blue, golden ochre, lavender, and muted grays and greens—are carefully spaced, so that larger, lens-like forms anchor the composition while smaller orbs ascend and descend along the verticals like measured pulses. The work stages a tension between containment and expansion, as the colored enclosures press against their linear boundaries, suggesting a quiet, incremental unfolding that resonates with the notion of burgeoning growth within an interconnected field.
