Venini Network #4

Elongated, pod-like vertical forms in saturated colors stand in a loose sequence against a pale ground traced with fine, looping linear networks.

About the work

Vertical, vessel-like silhouettes in cobalt blue, teal, vermilion, cadmium yellow, and muted violets are arranged across a cream ground, each contained by a dark contour that swells and narrows in measured rhythms. Within these bulbous columns, smaller ovoids, dots, and linear struts organize the interior space, setting up axial symmetries that contrast with the more irregular outer profiles. A mesh of fine, hairline curves flows around and between the forms, creating a secondary field of wavering paths that imply a continuous system linking the otherwise discrete units. The interplay of saturated interiors and subdued surrounding tones generates a sense of depth without conventional shading, while the repeated, spine-like verticals and their branching filaments quietly echo the notion of a network suggested by the title.
