Protoplasm of Venus

The composition is anchored by a roughly square mass of circular forms that shift from burnt orange at the left edge to cadmium red and ultramarine blue toward the center and right, creating a subtle gradient that reads as both volume and temperature. The circles vary in size and opacity, with some partially eclipsing others, so that the surface oscillates between a flat grid and a loosely cellular field. Around this core, fine black lines extend outward in all directions like spikes or rays, compressing near the corners and thinning toward the sides, which establishes a sense of outward pressure and containment. Interspersed among these linear bursts are rectilinear marks and small cross-like signs that interrupt the radial flow and suggest an underlying scaffold. The pale ivory ground remains visible between elements, allowing the saturated colors to advance visually, while the title gently inflects the reading of this aggregated, pulsating cluster as a kind of planetary or bodily formation held in suspension.
