About This Work

The composition is organized into several vertical streams of rounded and tapering shapes, each stream distinguished by a dominant hue that shifts from warm yellows and oranges on the left to saturated blues, greens, purples, and reds toward the right. Circular disks, often bordered by fine dark contours, cluster within and around these elongated vessels, creating a sense of internal chambers or cells that expand and contract as they rise and fall in the pictorial space. The pale, nearly ivory ground allows the chromatic bands to appear both separate and subtly interwoven, as transparent veils of color overlap and soften their boundaries. Repetition of the circle, paired with the rhythmic alternation of full and narrow segments, generates a pulse-like vertical movement that suggests sequential stages or emergent forms, gently echoing the generative implication of the title while remaining firmly within the realm of abstraction.
