Wisdom of Crowds

The composition is organized around a dense, almost spherical mass of small circular forms in black and crimson that accumulate near the center-left and gradually loosen as they move toward the right margin, where individual marks become sparse and isolated. Each circle is tethered by a fine, threadlike line that trails outward, creating a web of filaments that suggests directional pull and rhythmic flow across the pale ivory surface washed with translucent seafoam green. Along the left edge, a band of vertical navy elements forms a compressed border, visually containing the cluster and heightening the sense of lateral expansion toward the more open right side. The interplay of tight concentration and gradual dispersion, of repeated units and subtle irregularities, evokes the title “Wisdom of Crowds” through a visual negotiation between aggregation and individuation, as the field oscillates between a single coherent mass and a constellation of distinct yet interrelated points.
