Orphist Manifold

Orphist Manifold is two studies of a single problem: how a surface can fold over itself and still lie flat. In the first, an irregular amoeboid form is built from ribbon-like bands that swell and contract around an open, light-filled core, vermilion and forest green interleaved with ultramarine and lemon, each articulated by fine parallel lines that vibrate where the colours meet.

The second condenses the same logic into one continuous contour — crimson, emerald, ivory, charcoal, and deep blue sliding over and under one another, pale thresholds of yellow and green marking the crossings. Orphism’s prismatic rhythm, held to a single pulsing mass. Both are available as limited-edition giclée prints on museum-grade cotton paper.
