Cellular Automata

Cellular Automata runs a rule and prints the result. Parallel vertical bands carry linked ovals and concentric circles that expand and contract from top to bottom, setting a pulse across the square. Cream and pale blue grounds support sequences of crimson, cadmium orange, deep violet, and viridian, each form given a darker core and lighter perimeter that lends depth to otherwise flat colour. Fine contours trace every shape into a secondary network of subdivision and adjacency, while specks and tonal shifts thicken certain bands. Repetition with mutation, held inside a constrained field. A limited-edition giclée print on museum-grade cotton paper.
