About This Work

The composition is organized into three tall, columnar sections, each subdivided into rectangular compartments that frame large circles and partial arcs, creating a measured dialogue between containment and expansion. Saturated fields of cadmium orange, chrome yellow, and vermilion red are counterbalanced by planes of ivory and pale cerulean blue, while carbon black anchors the structure at key junctures. Thin black lines trace the edges of circles and rectangles, sometimes aligning precisely and at other times slipping out of register, generating a subtle sense of spatial layering and overlap. The repetition of circular forms across the stacked units establishes a steady rhythm, while small shifts in proportion and color placement introduce variation within the grid. The title “Tactility #3” quietly underscores the work’s emphasis on the perceived weight, pressure, and adjacency of these shapes as they press against their frames and against one another, turning the flat surface into a field of carefully modulated spatial tensions.
