Solar Lunar #3 is available as a signed, numbered edition of 100, printed on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm—an archival cotton paper favored by museum collections for its longevity and tonal fidelity. Open editions are also available on archival matte paper (230gsm) for collectors seeking the work at a more accessible entry point.
This work sits comfortably in contemporary abstract settings or lobby or atrium wall. Each print ships flat, within 5–7 business days, accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and care instructions. We offer a 14-day return window for works received in original condition.
The work stages a chromatic disc—its surface segmented into vertical bands of green, blue, violet, orange, and red—against a pale, nearly neutral ground, where it is partially veiled and rhythmically interrupted by a series of tall black stripes of varying widths and intervals. The circle is slightly cropped at the left and right edges, reinforcing its presence as a planar form rather than an isolated emblem, while the black bands extend beyond its perimeter, asserting a competing linear order that both fragments and binds the spectrum within. The alternating sequence of opaque dark bars and saturated color bands generates a subtle oscillation between recession and projection, as if the striped field were sliding across a solar or lunar body. This interplay of circular volume and vertical cadence organizes the surface into a measured system of overlaps and alignments, in which the title’s celestial reference quietly inflects the reading of the work as an abstracted eclipse or transit without departing from its rigorous geometric structure.
