Solar Lunar

The composition is organized around a dominant orange circle that is bisected horizontally and partially veiled by a sequence of vertical bands ranging from lemon yellow and tangerine to mauve, sky blue, and cobalt, which in turn shift into a wide expanse of ultramarine and black at the right edge. Below the midline, the circle overlaps a fan-like arc of muted teal and a regimented grid of alternating black and ivory stripes, creating a measured rhythm between curve and column. Color transitions from warm peach and orange on the left to cool blues and dense black on the right, suggesting a gradual passage from one chromatic atmosphere to another. The interlocking arcs and bars create a layered spatial illusion in which the circular forms appear to advance and recede through the striped plane, quietly echoing the title’s evocation of solar and lunar cycles through shifts of light, shadow, and orientation.
